Seeking writers for ZEKE
ZEKE is seeking writers for the upcoming fall and future issues. Each issue of ZEKE features photography stories about important global issues. We are seeking writers to craft articles about these issues. Past articles in ZEKE have been on climate change, violence against women, maternal health in Africa, nationalism in Russia, migration, Syria, and other global topics.
Each issue of ZEKE has three photo stories about global issues, one text-based article about photography/documentary, and an interview with a photographer. The standard article to accompany photo-based feature is 1,000 words.
We are seeking writers with researching an issue, identifying and interviewing experts in the field, and completing a compelling narrative about the issue. Expertise in the particular issue is not required, but the final selection of a writer may be influenced by field of interest.
For the fall issue, we expect to assign the articles mid-August, with a three-week turnaround for the first draft.
